A new study just released on Wednesday in The Journal of the American Medical Association found that as many as 98,000 Americans die every year from medical mistakes. Despite a nationwide campaign to improve patient safety since 2000, Lucian Leape of Harvard University's School of Public Health has commented that improvement is painstakingly slow. Can you imagine that, 98,000 deaths due to errors in medical treatment. I want you to really think of the significance of that number.
98,000 innocent people with families and loved ones dying from what they hoped would be maybe a routine medical treatment. Now you must understand, they are not talking about high patients dying. No! They are referring errors in prescriptions. Giving either the wrong medicine or the incorrect dosage. They are referring to dying from an infection from elective surgery. I encourage you to read this landmark report on the REAL story behind medical mistakes. I promise you will be shocked. Stay Informed and Subscribe to Dr. Grisanti's Free Health Tip of the Week
