Breaking News: Viagra Linked to Blindness

The mammoth drug company Pfizer makers of the recalled arthritis medication Bextra, are again in the news with reports of people possibly going blind from taking the impotence drug, Viagra.
Although not entirely conclusive, The Food and Drug Administration has received at least 43 reports of sudden blindness in men taking impotence drugs, most of them taking impotence drug Viagra. Howard Pomeranz, director of neuro-ophthalmology at the University of Minnesota Medical School, recently reported the possible link between Viagra and sudden blindness in an ophthalmology journal. Pfizer spokes people claim that there is no evidence showing that sudden blindness occurred more frequently in men taking Viagra than men of similar age and health who did not take Viagra. However, the FDA Food and Drug is still in the process of investigating impotence drug Viagra and the possible link to sudden blindness. Pfizer shares fell 1.9% on Friday after the news broke.
