New study finds abnormal levels of these two tests increase the risk of developing Alzheimer's disease

New study published in the September issue of the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition has discovered a strong link between elevated levels homocysteine, low folic acid levels and an increased risk of dementia and Alzheimer disease.

The study concluded that elevated homocysteine and low serum folic acid should be considered as independent predictors of the developing dementia and Alzheimer's
